Waves Board Test

The Rip Curl DHD

Tested By: Davey Cathel | Web: ripcurl.com.au

"Once I gave this board a spin it really opened my eyes as to how well a stock board can perform. It felt really good through carves and was really easy to guide through top turns. It’s a Fanning model so it’s probably designed for more of a Fanning type surfer and considering I surf nothing like Mick, the outline of the board was significantly different to what I usually ride. It didn’t have a whole lot of rocker through it so it maintained a lot of its speed through fat sections, but its deeper concave meant that when it got too far out from the power source it slowed down a bit."
