Pre surf:
“My first impression of this board is that it’s got me a little scared…. I don’t ride single fins too often and they’re a bit foreign to me. I’m excited to see how it’s going to perform though. I really want to ride this board first to see how the thing would go. I want to know how the board will perform with only one fin. I’m using the FCS fluid foils 7’ single fin and I’m not really too sure how it will go because i’ve never used it.”
Post surf:
“The board actually performed quite interesting. I first surfed the board in barreling waves and I found I had a bit of trouble. I slid out a few times down the face because I wasn’t used to having one fin. I then rode it at a small beach break and although I was milking the board, it was really fun. It was super fast through the pocket and smooth through the turns. It was hard to slow everything down and cruise through my turns, but I had plenty of fun on it. I think this board would be perfect for a down the line point break at somewhere like snapper. If you want to have fun surfing a point or just cruise along the wave, this ones for you. I’m not used to riding a single fin, but the FCS fluid foils 7’ single fin was really good. The board held when it needed to and released nice off the top.”
