Pre surf:

“This board is quite similar to my normal dimensions. It’s got a really nice single-to-double concave, which I expect will make it really fast and hold to the wave face. It’s also got a nice little round tail, which should also make it really smooth through the turns. I’m going to use the future fins WCT Techflex because they’re the fins I use in most of my boards. It’s got a nice and stiff base, but a lot of flex through the tip which will allow the board release nice off the top.”

Post surf:

“This was the first board that I rode on the test and it was really fun. The rails really seemed to hold to the face and the round tail really gave the board a fair bit of drive. It’s fast, loose and responsive. I managed to get a couple of waves on my backhand on this board and it released really nice off the top. It felt like a good all-round board that could go in any kind of conditions. I think anyone looking for a high-performance shortboard for their quiver shouldn’t go past one of these.”
