No Longer Orange

You may remember seeing pictures in ASL’s 250th issue of Ozzie Wright painting an orange submarine that washed up on the beach at Lakey Peak in Sumbawa. Well, Waves has just returned from the area and brings the news that it has now been burnt to a crisp. Reportedly the grounded sub has resulted in an uneven sand flow, thus causing certain locals to kick up a stink and take action on the big orange fiberglass vessel. About a week ago, they set the thing a light and watched it burn to a smouldering pile of fiberglass and mesh. Waves were on hand to snap some these images of one of Ozzie’s favourite art pieces kick the bucket.
