Rusty Goes Costa.

I really wanted to be on this trip with the Rusty team to Costa Rica. Two weeks ago I begged, cried and whinged to get onboard. I was too late. The plans were already in motion, they were going. To be honest I’d kinda tried to block the trip from my mind over the last few days as I was sure they’d be getting some sort of fun beachie, necking Imperial and eating $1 empanadas.

The salt in the wound came last night when I received an email from Rusty team-manager Ryan Bautista with a full on breakdown and shots attached. Here is what it said.

“Mate, Costa Rica is such an epic joint. Fuckin beautiful. There is a lush jungle on the beachside, beers are cheap, Bosko (Waves Senior photog) isn’t snoring. It’s awesome. For the first few days it was small but we ended up having ball anyway with just [Jay] Davies and Damien Fahrenfort. The swell has since picked up a fair bit and it looks like it could be good over the next few days. Kerr [Josh] and Yeomans [Nate] are here now also, so we’ll forward you some more shots tonight. In the meantime, have a look at these [see below]. Yew!”
